OMFG... i'm absolutely tired xD... i'm working a lot with my little fruit flies. i'm measuring developmental time in several lines (mutant and wild type of various interesting genes). because of that, i have to go at least twice a day (8 am and 8 pm) to measure the number of pupae and adult flies in each of the four replication vials T_T... i'm gonna diiiieeeee!!!!!!!
today i'm going to go early in the afternoon, to measure the pupation height. and then i'll freeze my adult flies and measure their wings, torax and head. nice isn't it??
also i'm applying for science tunnel - the exhibition: www.sciencetunnel.com/en/ … would be amazing if they chose me!!!!!!!
PS: when i'm finished doing this, i'll start reading proust's "in search of lost time". xD

yestarday i was looking at this deviation yiyo-no-shashin.deviantart.com… and thinking about the last book i read (the shock doctrine). and i was thinking that everyday, fear is used to keep us occupied, to make us ignore what happens around us (excepting the information overdose about the dangers that surround us), to make us forget about other problems.
you may think it's an exaggeration, but it's not. it's a theory first described and applied by the economist milton friedman. he said it was necessary to dissolve the state and free companies of all restraints that could prevent them for getting the maximum benefits. this, of course, implies getting rid of the laws that protects the workers, privatizing everything (including education and health systems), which leaves the proletariat without any rights. obviously, this kind of changes are always resisted by the masses. the solution friedman discovered was the shock of fear. when you're afraid you can't think clearly and you can't defend your rights. you will do whatever they told you, and when your mind start functioning again, they would have left you without anything.
the first places for this doctrine to be applied were latin american countries, in the 60's and 70's. the rise of several leftist governments made our countries the perfect study object.
the CIA planned and financed a lot of dictatorships, that scared people and made it impossible to protest. i mean, they killed you only because of your ideology. they killed you if they found your address in a suspect's agenda. they killed you because you owned marxist books. they killed you if you fought for your rights (lots of workers were killed for being part of sindicates, or students because they wanted lower bus fares for high school students... see the film "night of the pencils")... of course, the army first kidnapped people, tortured them to get information, and then killed him and threw the bodies. a lot of them were never found. when they trapped a pregnant girl, they waited until the child was born, and then killed her and gave away the baby. there are still a lot of boys and girls that don't know they're addopted, and who their real parents are.
the real cause of this dictatorships was not only to take out the leftist government. they modified the society as a whole, they killed the leftist sectors and scared the hell out of the rest. they transformed people in a lot of individualist citizens, that did not care of the rest of the people, because they were afraid to protest. it stays until now.
meanwhile, they started selling the state companies, they abolished the taxes to foreign products, destroying the local factories and leaving thousands of workers in the street. the money they used for their terror campaigns, for the torture of people and for devastating the country, made up a big debt that was then statized, meaning that people has to pay for the weapons that were used to repress them.
now, our countries are left with a pair of multimillonaire business man, and millions of homeless people.
that's not a mistake: this is what capitalism says. let a few accumulate lots of benefits, and then the economy will grow.
it will grow killing the rest of the people. of course.
shocks were tried in a lot more countries, for example, to make business with the security issues and weapon making during the war in iraq and afganisthan. they scared the people talking about terrorism, they perfectly knew about what was going to happen in WTC, but they let it happen. now they're still ruining the lives of thousands of civiles in the middle east. only to make a few business man rich, with the excuse of reconstruction (did you know it's being done by foreign corporations that bring their own workers and get A REAL LOT OF MONEY out of this?)
did you know that after the tsunami in asia that destroyed fishermen houses in 2004, they did not let them come back, and sold their places to foreign companies to build expensive hotels, WHICH WERE PAID WITH THE MONEY DONATED FOR RECONSTRUCTION? fishermen could never return to their homes (they even didn't let them look for the bodies of their relatives in the debris) and lots of people are now living in slums, because the money for reconstruction was used in super-chic hotels? this was achieved because of the shock that the tsunami and the massive deaths caused to people.

soy la unica que piensa que discepolo era un optimista? 
ojala fuese lo mismo ser un burro que un profesor, conozco varios burros que la pasan mucho mejor! ni hablar de los honrados y los estafadores...
que el mundo fue y será una porquería ya lo sé...
en el quinientos seis, y en el dos mil también!
que siempre ha habido chorros, maquiavelos y estafaos,
contentos y amargaos, valores y dublé...
pero que el siglo veinte es un despliegue
de maldá insolente,
ya no hay quien lo niegue.
vivimos revolcaos en un merengue
y en un mismo lodo, todos manoseaos...
hoy resulta que es lo mismo ser derecho que traidor!...
ignorante, sabio o chorro, generoso o estafador!
todo es igual, nada es mejor
lo mismo un burro que un gran profesor!
no hay aplazaos ni escalafón,
los inmorales nos han igualao.
si uno vive en la impostura
y otro roba en su ambición,
da lo mismo que sea cura,
